Hey Oliver,
Good things are always worth waiting or! It's been a while since we've seen your pictures and videos...what a treat to have them come on a cold winter's day. Lots of sunshine in our lives now, between you and Obama! Anyway, I loved all the pictures.. One of my most favorites is the one of you and Mommy in your party hats. "SURPRISE" is the caption. I also liked the New Year's Eve ones and the Daddy's birthday ones. It was fun seeing the Christmas ones and reliving that fun day. BUT please tell your Daddy that NOONE wants to see close-ups of Bruce's weenie. PLEASE..how gross! I had to laugh at the caption for his NYE picture.. that was funny.
Loved all the videos. I'm so happy I could hear you say GG and Poppy and Salsa! Way cute.. Also "Here we go." I love the way your mouth pulls way down when you say that. Kind of like when you do "Ho ho ho." And I loved hearing you laugh at the Curious George movie. You'll have to show me that movie next time we come so I can laugh with you!
I loved seeing the picture of your very own baby too. I can't wait to meet him/her! You'll be such a good big brother. I just know it!
Tell your daddy thanks a lot for sharing all these nice pictures of you...It's always so exciting to get an email about Oliver's blog being updated.
Be a good boy till I see you again.
Lots of love,
GG

Dear Oliver,

I don’t want to sound repetitive, but hey babe, “You the Man!”

Thank you so much for all the new photos and videos,.

Guess what, when I was a young man like you are, I was actually on (St.) Elmo St. in Allentown, Pa. And, guess what, I liked it. Alot. That’s where your great great Grandmother Nana (Anna) McKeever lived. And her father, that would be your great great great Grandfather Poppy, was kinda from there too! How cool is that!? I know, not very. But hey, you’re still the Man and I’m still the real Poppy.

Now for a little serious business. Brucie’s little pinkie may interest your Daddy, but no one else. Maybe if he (Daddy) had as much hair on his chest as Brucie, then maybe he (Daddy) wouldn’t be so interested in his (Brucie’s) pinkie. But you can always save those photo for the future Bulldog Hall of Shame.

Christmas. It sure looks like you loved meeting Ho-ho-ho in person. You know, that’s where the fun (and presents begin). I’ll bet your Grandma would like to sit on Ho-ho-ho’s lap with you. She just loves the big guy! It was sure nice having you here on your Grandma’s special day. Come again soon.

New Year’s. You should’ve been here for New Year’s Eve. Then you could’ve hung with your Grandma’s boy friend Matt. At least you wouldn’t have had to put balls on your head because you’d have passed out in boredom long before that.

I loved all the videos too. Keep them coming.

Big kiss for you, and a big belly rub for your new sibling (guess what, don’t tell anyone, but, it’s a boy!). And a big hug for your Mama, and a punch in the belly for your Daddy (he’s a man, he can take it.)

Say “POPPY”.

Love,
Poppy

Hey Oliver. I see that your "word" knowledge is really coming around. Hopefully, you will be able to say camel when I see you next. Also, remember to hold on to the picture of you and half-naked daddy. I think that you may need this in therapy sessions later in life.

I think Bruce's pinky sticking out for the world to see is going to be more traumatizing than my manly chest. That's an aspirational goal for Oliver!

I found both pictures to be revolting!

You, on the other hand, are very cute, young Oliver. I love getting to hear you say new words -- maybe next you can say Katie!

Keep laughing and talking ... hopefully we'll see you soon!

Chris,
Dad wonders whether the "aspirational goal" for Oliver is Daddy's "manly" ( Cough, cough) chest or Bruce's pinky hanging out!!
And, Jason, I'm glad to see you are posting a comment! It was a good one too.

His aspirational goal was my chest. If he's a McKeever he'll be hung like a rhino (only from the David B. side of the family of course) .He came out of the chute bigger than Bruce.
