Finally... Another Update!

It's been a long time since we last posted but it's been a busy six weeks or so. Please see all of the new pictures and movies... please note Mommy went to a movie tonight and Daddy passed on the opportunity to play Xbox or PS3 to make this update. He worked on this for about three hours. Sure is nice of him!

Cute Video of Oliver Reading

Check out this video we took last night of Oliver. He was reading from his Eight Little Monkeys Book... the words to the book, which are also a song, go something like this:

Eight little monkeys jumping on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head
So Momma called the doctor and the doctor said
No more monkeys jumping on the bed!

Seven little monkeys jumping on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head
So Momma called the doctor and the doctor said
No more monkeys jumping on the bed!

Etc...

Make sure and turn up the volume so you can hear him read along with the book. He doesn't quite get the line "So Momma called the doctor and the doctor said" line so he improvises.

Also, once he turns and catches me video taping with our camera, he stops and says "Cheeseburger" (his version of say cheese) and continues to read. It's very cute.

Eight Little Monkeys Video

Blog Update!

Hello All,

Well it’s been a fairly eventful weekend. Saturday night we were in Urgent Care for most of the night because Emily had an infection in her leg that was spreading. The doctor “numbed” the spot (it barely worked as Emily felt most all of it – the doc later said this should have been done under general anesthesia) then took a scalpel and scissors and dug out/drained all the puss. Mmm… delicious! She’s happily popping prescription pain pills now trying to dull the pain.

So we were all up late last night and had to get up early so we could meet Thomas the Tank. He stopped in Minnesota just to see his biggest fan. Pictures of the festivities are provided… sorry, no puss pictures.

There are also some pictures of Bruce’s 4^th Birthday feast (make sure to turn up the volume), a ton of Charlotte pictures, and a bunch of videos. Here you go:

"O" not "W"

Oliver, Mommy, and Daddy have been working on the alphabet and we shot a video this evening. Oliver has down every letter but "W"and his best letter is "O". Clearly his little brain is already grasping what President is worth talking about and what president (intentional use of lowercase) is not worth discussing... There is also a video of a new laser pointer pen Daddy got at work, and a video from Valentine's Day. Enjoy!

Ohhh... Choo Choo...

This morning Oliver, Daddy, and Mommy made the trek to St. Paul to visit the Twin Cities Model Train Museum. Needless to say Oliver was living life to the fullest! Below is a link to some pictures, and a video.

Unfortunately we didn't capture a movie of his reaction to the trains the first time he saw them, but we did get a video with the second set of trains that passed.... though it wasn't as extravagant as the first you can still get the idea. He loved it!
