Ooh, lots of cool pictures to look at when I'm feeling all let down because all the fun is over! Love the video of Baby Charlotte when she was only 20 minutes old. I don't think she looks like a grumpy old man. She's sweet and funny. And the one of Oliver meeting his sister is so cute too, as are the still photos of the meeting. Emily, you look great for having just given birth...but then we should all have those short labors and quick deliveries. I'm so jealous!
We really had a nice time, both at the party and at the post partum! I wonder who and when the next grandchild will be. Do you think you'll go for 3 ahead of Katie and Jason? Or Tim and Sarah??? Others can express opinions on that. :) Thanks for getting these up on the blog so fast. They make for great viewing!
I don't know how Katie's name got on my comment. Previous comment was from GG.
Dear Oliver,
Thank you for the new blog entries including your birthday party, 4th of July festivities, and your becoming a big brother, and thank you especially for sharing your blog with your little sister Charlotte. Over the past 2 years I've seen you grow from a wee little tyke to the macho man that you are today. Just look at those T-ball photos and videos. Who is that man in the Twins hat, jersey and shades? Must be Oliver because the other one is a dufus. No little hottie alive could resist him! Perhaps you are "I LOVER."
Your birthday party was great fun. You received many well deserved presents, and way more “help” than you needed. I especially liked the photo of the McKeever men and boy. Maybe next year the McKeever boy will have to show one of the McKeever men (you know which one) who the real boss is!
Thanks again for sharing and for all that you bring to the party.
Love,
Poppy
Dear, dear little Charlotte,
Welcome to the family, and to the blog. You are such a sweet addition to both. I was so very happy to be able to join you and the rest of the family on your first day, and to once again hold a wee little baby in my arms. Granted, they aren't the pipes they once were, but are still the best this clan has to offer. And please don't grow up too fast. There's plenty of time for that later. For now just be the sweet little girl that you are.
So what's the real skinny on "Boocie"? I hope he's being nice to you. If not, just tell the Big O, and I'm sure he'll poke him a new one.
And finally, I promise never ever ever to call you "Little Grummy". Although I know she would love having you named after her, she would also want you to be your own person, as do I.
Not to sound repetitive, but thanks so much for joining the family, and for being the sweet little girl that you are. Hope to see you again real soon. Maybe we’ll just drop in sometime.
Love,
Poppy
Hey there little C - looks like you've hit the scene in high style. Thank you so much for hosting my visit the other day and being such a well behaved little girl. You must get that from your mother's side. Your old man comes from a line of squakers! (Although, to be fair, he was not the worst offender. Though he may have been in contention if not for his fondness of swinging.) Anyway, just wanted to say thanks. You keep that brother of yours in line.
Cheers!
Uncle T
What's a "squaker?"
It's like a Quaker, except with more of an S at the beginning.
OK, "squawker". If I didn't have such poor parenting I may have learned to spell. Instead, it's the life of a Verona Leader carrier for me.
